10 things that make me happy


fresh flowers, especially peonies
a delicious dinner fixed side by side with my husband 
reminiscing with old family photos
the first snow day of winter
the unconditional love of a dog
accomplishing a difficult task
the renewed energy of a perfect spring day 
looking forward to something 
finishing a good book 
surprises, usually.

  2. What a beautiful list! I agree with all of them except surprises. :-) I've just never been much of a surprise person...much rather have the joy of anticipation!

  5. Peonies + old family photos YES! Surprises though, never. I can't handle them! They make me crazy up until they actually happen, and by then it's too late to save my sanity!

  13. I love surprises!! I can't even remember the last one I had. And yes, finishing a GOOD book leaves me with a great natural high. Ahh.

    I also love cuddles with my man, kitties, and that first sip of a hot mocha. MMMMM

  16. finishing a good book is bittersweet though :( I don't want to leave the world they've created just yet and I always wish there was more. That's why I usually only read books with lots of installments in the series haha
