red, white, and baubles

I love a good theme.  Whether it's a themed party or a themed holiday outfit, I'm all in.  And there's no holiday that I get so dangerously close to going overboard as the 4th of July.  In fact, my closet is so saturated with red, white and blue (mostly in the form of stripes), that when getting dressed in the morning, regardless of the time of year, I often have to ask myself, "Is this too 4th of July?"  Frequently, the answer is "yes."

One of the good things about designing my own jewelry is that I can create pieces that compliment my own wardrobe.  Naturally, I have a few pieces that coordinate with my Independence Day overloaded closet.  Here are some of my favorites that work whether you're planning to go full force with a patriotic theme, or just trying to subtly incorporate it into an everyday outfit.

So where do you stand on holiday outfits?  Will you be wearing red, white and blue from head to toe, or are you taking a more subtle approach?

  1. Love your turquoise necklace!
I gave myself a patriotic manicure last night :) Other than that, not much red, white and blue here.

I have lots of red and white, but not too much blue in my wardrobe ;-)
