currently… brown paper packages and peonies

my very first bloom from my very first peony bush!

designing: a nursery for baby girl! I've kind of come to a standstill on it because we've been focused on getting the remaining necessities and there are a few things we still need to move out of the room. But I can't wait to get it all organized and pretty. I know we won't be using the nursery much at first, so it's really just for my own fun and peace of mind.

enjoying: the beautiful spring weather that we're finally experiencing! It's also been fun to see what's been planted in our yard as things start blooming.

ordering: A lot. I'd be embarrassed to tell you just how many packages have arrived at our door in the last two weeks. In my defense, we still needed quite a few things off of our baby registries and most of them are practical purchases!

celebrating: I kind of hated to see it go, but I'm celebrating the end of April because so much got checked off of our to do lists. We also have some birthdays to celebrate this month, as well as Mother's Day, of course.

tasting: Ever since we discovered the best homemade ice cream shop during our maternity photo session, I've become pretty obsessed. If I do nothing else this summer (besides care for a newborn), I will taste every single one of the flavors on their menu. Aim high!

  4. Um, that package embarrassment keeps going even after you have the baby... they keep growing out of things, and Baby Gap keeps having crazy online sales ;) And yes to homemade ice cream shops!

  5. That peony is gorgeous! I can't believe I don't have a peony bush yet, but it's going to happen soon!
The idea of icecream sounds so perfect right now. It's pretty hot outside, and it just sounds so good! I know what's for dessert tonight. ;)
